Exploring the beauty around us...
As a kid, I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. Instead, I got a business degree. But after almost 20 years in corporate America, I started looking for a creative outlet.
In 2019, I read Vanessa Diffenbaugh's "The Language of Flowers" and was inspired by the age-old practice of using flowers as a way to communicate. I began painting greeting cards to share with friends--using the meaning of the flower to convey special messages.
Eventually, my hobby grew into what it is today: the opportunity to share my art at local art shows and inspire others to search for beauty in the every day. I am entirely self-taught and paint almost exclusively from photo references of botanicals from my daily life.
When I'm not painting, I'm attending a soccer match or chasing toddlers through Newport, KY with my husband and biggest cheerleader.
