Exploring the beauty around us...

As a kid, I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. Instead, I got a business degree. But after almost 20 years in corporate America, I started looking for a creative outlet.

In 2019, I read Vanessa Diffenbaugh's "The Language of Flowers" and was inspired by the age-old practice of using flowers as a way to communicate. I leaned into my flower knowledge gained from a teenage job at a greenhouse, and began painting greeting cards to share with friends.

Eventually, my hobby grew into what it is today: the opportunity to share my art at local art shows and inspire others to search for beauty in the every day. I am entirely self-taught and paint almost exclusively from photo references of botanicals from my daily life.

When I'm not painting, I'm strolling through Newport, KY, taking pictures of my neighbors' flowers. Credit to my husband and 5 kids for being my biggest cheerleaders.
